How I See Design
I believe good design begins with common sense and a deep understanding of how people experience a space. It is not about creating something that simply looks beautiful, it is about creating places that feel right.
Nature is my greatest teacher. I draw inspiration from its color, balance, materiality and quiet imperfections. I value honest materials, thoughtful craftsmanship and rich textures that create authenticity while minimizing the reliance on synthetic finishes.
Design should engage more than the eye. The way light moves through a room, the texture beneath your hand, the proportions of a space, and the atmosphere it creates all shape how we feel. I am interested in designing environments that invite you to slow down, notice the details, and form an emotional connection with the space. Every project begins with understanding the people, their routines, aspirations, and the purpose of the space. From there, I create environments that are intuitive and functional, where every decision has intention.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work on diverse projects—from workplaces and healthcare to hospitality and luxury residences, across four continents. These experiences have broadened my perspective, shaping a design approach that is both globally informed and deeply human.
I am proud of my Indian heritage and continue to rediscover my connection to the land, craft, and cultural richness that first shaped my understanding of design. After spending more than a decade in the United States, I find myself looking back with a renewed appreciation for India's craftsmanship, color, and timeless relationship between architecture and everyday life. This dialogue between cultures has become an integral part of my creative process, allowing me to bring both a global perspective and a deeply personal lens to every project.
